WHAT:

Forrester Research, Inc., (Nasdaq: FORR) Infrastructure & Operations Forum 2010: Back In Black: Planning And Executing Your Post-Recession Initiatives

In its most recent technology spending forecast, Forrester proclaimed the technology downturn of 2008 and 2009 officially over. With the global economy on the road to recovery, businesses finally have the opportunity to get delayed projects back on track and plan ahead for the technologies that will make a difference over the next five years. Companies will be able to accelerate into 2010 with new applications and market initiatives. However, not every project will or should come back, and new technologies that demand new skills – like virtual infrastructure – will factor into future plans.

The IT to business technology (BT) transformation is on, and this new mandate – where every business activity is enabled by technology, and every technology decision hinges on a business need – will have a profound effect on Infrastructure & Operations (I&O) professionals. I&O leaders will be tasked with the responsibility of planning, prioritizing, justifying, and carefully executing the wide range of people, process, and technology projects needed to fuel business growth.

Forrester’s Infrastructure & Operations Forum 2010 will provide I&O professionals with the tools they need to assess the post-recession readiness of their organizations’ infrastructures and successfully execute I&O plans for the new decade. In addition to I&O professionals, Enterprise Architecture professionals, Sourcing & Vendor Management professionals, and CIOs will also benefit from keynotes and track sessions that center on topics such as embracing recessionary behaviors for long-term success and laying out a road map for technology enhancement, optimization, and innovation.
