• This year’s TechX focuses on connecting business requirements to technology solutions and how B2B marketers can consider tech from a strategic point of view
  • Building on the event theme of “From Categories to Priorities: B2B Technology Done Right,” TechX seeks to get sales and marketing on the same page when it comes to tech
  • It’s rare that “technology” and “easy” meet up in the same sentence, but with all that SiriusDecisions has planned for this year’s TechX, we hope you’ll join us in the Big Easy this November 7-9!

Think of New Orleans and what immediately comes to mind? Mouth-watering Creole food. Incredible music. A robust culture that is so distinctly its own. Perhaps lesser known amid the mystique that surrounds New Orleans is that it is also rapidly becoming known as a thriving hub for digital and tech companies – so much so that the nickname “Silicon Bayou” has emerged to describe this up-and-coming scene.

So, what better backdrop for a tech event that is unlike any other in the B2B industry?  We can hardly wait for this November 7-9 when SiriusDecisions’ Technology Exchange heads to New Orleans!

Helmed this year by Gil Canare and Jonathan Tam, the fourth annual TechX event focuses on connecting business requirements to technology solutions and how B2B marketers can look at technologies from a strategic point of view.

new orleans skyline“The traditional category-based view of the expanding B2B technology landscape has resulted in siloed, incomplete and bloated tech stacks in organizations of all sizes,” said Gil. “Companies must focus on the business objectives and the requirements to support them regardless of category to maximize the value and return on their tech spend.” Gil and Jonathan will take a deep dive into how business needs translate into business requirements for smart tech buying with their can’t-miss mainstage session, “It’s Time to Fix What’s Broken With Tech in B2B: Mapping Categories to Priorities.”

As the only B2B tech conference that features content for both sales and marketing with insight into how these functions can better align, TechX 2018 focuses on two key business problems – how to support multiple revenue models, like e-commerce and account-based marketing (ABM), with one tech stack and delivering a seamless experience from prospect to customer to repeat customer. This year’s content will span two days and include presentations from SiriusDecisions analysts from the ABM, sales operations, marketing operations, demand marketing, emerging growth, customer engagement, sales enablement, channel marketing, channel sales and content operations advisory teams. For a full description of this year’s sessions, please click here for our role-based agendas.

Before, in between and after sessions, TechX delegates are invited to visit the Marketplace – the perfect location to connect with current partners, reconnect with colleagues in the industry and also hear all about what’s new from leading B2B technology and service providers. New to TechX this year will be 20-minute “Spotlight Sessions.” These sessions – held in the Marketplace – are a great opportunity for delegates to learn more about hot topics in tech in an open theater environment.

And what TechX would be complete without the TechX Games? Those will be taking place on Thursday night and trust me, this year, they will be something you do not want to miss! Check out the fun we had at TechX last year!

While there are still more big reveals to come of all that’s in store for this year, all we will say for now is – laissez les bon temps rouler – a Cajun expression meaning “let the good times roll.” It’s rare that “technology” and “easy” meet up in the same sentence, but with all that SiriusDecisions has planned for this year’s TechX, we can’t wait for you to join us in the Big Easy!
