You’ve Got More Time: Enterprise Architecture Award Deadline Extended To June 2
If you were considering a nomination for Forrester’s global Technology Awards ths year — including the Enterprise Architecture Award, presented in partnership with The Open Group — the submission deadline has been extended to Tuesday, June 2.
Here’s the reason I’m genuinely excited about this year’s EA entries (and why a short extension matters): The center of gravity in enterprise architecture is shifting from documentation to decision velocity.
For years, the consistent complaint about architecture wasn’t “architects found issues.” Teams get issues from linters, security scanners, and peer review every day. The complaint was uncertainty and delay — designs disappearing into a queue with no predictable turnaround. That unpredictability turns governance into friction, even when the intent is sound.
What’s changing is the practical ability for architecture teams to deliver fast first-pass feedback — and to do it in ways that are easier to adopt, easier to iterate, and easier to measure. In other words: less ceremony, more throughput, better outcomes.
That’s exactly the kind of story the EA Awards are meant to surface: EA that’s visibly improving risk management, cost efficiency, experience, and outcomes — not EA as “framework compliance.”
If your EA team has a concrete, numbers-backed example of how you’ve improved delivery, reduced risk, accelerated modernization, or enabled smarter use of data and AI, I’d encourage you to submit.
