LogicMonitor Elevate 2026: AI Doesn’t Care About Your IT Silos — Neither Should You
At LogicMonitor Elevate 2026 in Chicago, one thing became clear: The company’s strategy is evolving from monitoring individual technologies toward orchestrating work, experiences, and outcomes. One of the biggest themes at Elevate wasn’t a single product announcement, but the convergence of observability, DEXM, ITSM, and AIOps. Vendors across these markets are expanding beyond their traditional domains to deliver broader visibility, AI-driven operations, and autonomous workflows. LogicMonitor’s strategy reflects this shift, combining observability, digital experience monitoring, service insights, and Edwin AI into a more unified operational platform.
I’m a firm believer that convergence doesn’t necessarily mean consolidation. As observability, DEXM, and IT operations converge, organizations should focus less on platform consolidation and more on whether these capabilities reduce investigation effort, workflow fragmentation, and operational friction.
For those that missed the conference, the big announcements coming out of the event include:
- ITOps context graph. An ontology/context graph that connects telemetry, topology, service relationships, incidents, and digital experience signals into a unified operational model.
- Topology-aware correlation. AI-driven event correlation that uses dependency and topology awareness to reduce noise and identify root causes more effectively.
- Service Insights / Service Health. New capabilities focused on understanding service-level impact, not just infrastructure health, linking technical issues to business services and outcomes.
- Edwin AI multi-agent orchestration. Expansion of Edwin AI from investigation and recommendation into domain-specific agents, workflow automation, and orchestration across tools and workflows.
- AI-driven automation and headless integrations. Edwin AI integration into collaboration and IT operations platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and ServiceNow, enabling actions to be executed within existing workflows.

Stay Grounded In Operational Maturity
Most enterprises don’t lack telemetry, they lack context. Connecting signals across infrastructure, applications, networks, endpoints, and services is increasingly critical to understanding business impact and prioritizing response. The event also highlighted the shift from AI-assisted operations to AI-driven action.
But automation and autonomy are not the same. As AI takes on more operational action, the need for governance, accountability, and guardrails becomes more critical for scaling responsibly. Operational efficiencies matter, but technology leaders should judge success by whether those gains reduce disruption, improve productivity and service quality, and free teams for higher-value work.
- Start with the business problem. Identify employee journeys, services, and business processes where fragmented visibility or slow response creates measurable friction. Evaluate products according to their ability to address those problems, not the market categories they claim to represent.
- Build a context strategy before scaling automation. Determine how telemetry, service dependencies, employee experience signals, and business priorities will connect. Favor open architectures and integrations that preserve flexibility across existing investments.
- Make governance a prerequisite for autonomy. Establish ownership, permissions, approval processes, and outcome measures. Begin with low-risk use cases, demonstrate value, and expand AI-driven action as operational confidence grows.
More Signals Aren’t The Answer. Better Context Is.
Observability, DEXM, ITSM, and AIOps will continue to bring distinct strengths, but their worlds are colliding. The organizations that get the most from this convergence will focus less on collecting more signals and more on connecting context, decisions, and outcomes.
