Rating The Top 10 Digital Business Transformation Firms
Every year, more firms reach out to me to explain how they’re delivering their own brand of “digital transformation” to clients. When last I checked, I’m tracking over 170 vendors. Needless to say, some of these firms are much more adept at delivering effective transformation services than others. The simple truth is, almost every vendor delivering technology services claims to deliver digital transformation. But in practice, few actually do — at least not the kind of bet-the-business transformation that results in disruptive business model change. It’s the kind of transformation that results in a shift to becoming a proper digital business, with new digital products and services. Despite all the noise, that level of transformation remains the exception, not the rule.
So, when we set out to rate the top digital business transformation firms, we put proof of delivering proper C-level business transformation front and center in our evaluation. And we started with firms that were qualified in prior research as focused on innovating and transforming business models (versus transforming experiences, operations, or technology). We invited 13 leading consultancies to participate in the Forrester Wave. And while three declined, 10 took up our invitation and represent some of the top firms in the world: Accenture, BCG, Capgemini, Deloitte, EY, Globant, KPMG, McKinsey, Publicis Sapient, and PwC.
Over the past five months, our team has put these vendors through what they would agree was a rather challenging assessment to deliver what we see as our most detailed and comprehensive analysis of how leading service firms deliver digital transformation services to their clients.
The results of this odyssey are now available in the brand new “The Forrester Wave: Digital Business Transformation Services, Q4 2020” report. To help break down the research and explain how to use the Forrester Wave spreadsheet tool, we also have a client-access webinar that will be live on Thursday, November 19, and available on demand after that date.
Over the course of the next few weeks, I’ll also be sharing more research insights derived from the Forrester Wave research process. Stay tuned!
